MIDWIFE
Since I was a teenager, I've dreamt of being a midwife, even before it was legislated and accessible. Life led me on different paths: marriage, raising children, and working in healthcare. However, my passion for midwifery never wavered. I believe in holistic care, honoring clients' values, and building supportive relationships.
After studying at Ryerson University and gaining experience in various locations, including Newfoundland and Ontario, I am excited to embark on this journey with pregnant individuals and families. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, gardening, and pursuing creative hobbies.

ADMINISTRATOR
I joined Midwives of Lindsay in January of 2008 after being a stay at home Mom for 13 years.
I have a degree in Sociology and Psychology and a Volunteer Management certificate. For several years I put this educational knowledge to use in Volunteer Management positions with the Ross Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
From springtime through fall, I enjoy the solitude of tending my flower and vegetable gardens, and while winter is my least favourite season, I do enjoy daily walks through the snow covered woods and farm fields with my husband and golden retriever.
As the proud Mom of grown daughters Lyndsay and Latashya and son Landyn, I know how exciting and rewarding it is to bring a new life into the world. I look forward to welcoming you to our clinic and playing a small role in your journey to parenthood.

MIDWIFE
I have been privileged to work as a midwife in urban centers and remote Indigenous villages in northern Ontario and Nunavik. Witnessing the transformative journey from individual to parent during pregnancy and birth is truly fascinating to me. I am passionate about ensuring that the process is holistic and empowering. My expertise lies in perinatal mental health, postpartum mood disorders, birth trauma, and bereavement. I maintain up-to-date certifications in neonatal resuscitation, CPR, and Emergency Skills through regular attendance at workshops, hospital rounds, and peer reviews.
Prior to midwifery, I dedicated over twenty years to community health, specifically advocating for LGBTQ+, newcomers, Indigenous, homeless, and substance using individuals to ensure equitable access to healthcare. I hold a Master's degree in health education with a focus on spiritual health and support.
I identify as Queer. I live with my partner and three almost adult children and two dogs. When I’m not working in Lindsay, I can be found working in remote areas of Canada and internationally. I love to travel and eat great food.

Lindsay, R.M.
MIDWIFE
My name is Lindsay. I am a midwife of mixed settler descent, and an uninvited guest on these territories.
My midwifery practice thrives at a special intersection of community care, intimate relationship and honest self-knowing. I believe raising babies is the most hopeful way that we participate in the future, and it is my greatest purpose to welcome parents and babies into a space of safety and tenderness in this deeply transformative time.
My way to midwifery has been winding and I have worked with families in northern BC, Vancouver Island, Thunder Bay, and the Durham Region, before landing here with Midwives of Lindsay and the Lakes. I have a great respect for the skills of midwifery and maintain certifications in Emergency Skills and Neonatal Resuscitation as well as CPR.

MIDWIFE
Born and raised in Northern Ontario, I grew up surrounded by holistic health care which gave me great admiration and appreciation for individualized care. Prior to midwifery I pursued a biology degree at Trent university and midway through my passion for midwifery ignited, driven by fascination with individualized care and women’s health. I received my midwifery education at McMaster University and have gained invaluable experiences and knowledge from the program, as well as the incredible midwives and clients I’ve had the privilege of working with.
I am honoured to have the privilege to guide families through their journeys of pregnancy, birth and postpartum and am eager to serve and work in this community. Beyond midwifery, you can find me cooking, exploring the outdoors and cherishing moments with loved ones. -

I attended Durham College in 2004 and obtained my Perinatal Obstetrical Nursing Certificate and have worked as a Labour and Delivery Nurse at Ross Memorial Hospital for 14 years. I have worked as a RN attending delivers with the Midwives of Lindsay and the Lakes since 2010. I am very happy to be a part of this amazing team of Midwives who provide holistic family centred care throughout pregnancy and the birthing experience to their clients.

My husband and I are the parents of 3 amazing children. 30, 25, and 22. Our oldest has Down Syndrome and continues to amaze us every day. The other two are living close by and we are always doing things together as a family.
I have been an RN for 25 years, all at the Ross Memorial on the Paeds unit and for the last 16 on the Labour and Delivery unit.
In my free time I love to crochet, spend time outdoors with my family and friends and ride my motorcycle with my husband.
